I think this is fantastic. Being a pencil artist who also specifically does portraits, I highly respect this piece. I think the minimalism approach was executed nicely and the contrast between the subtle features of the skin, nose, and mouth with the darker, sharper eyes and hair really allow this piece to be more than just a typical celebrity portrait. You captured the underlying sadness of her eyes that she always seems to have, but within that, you conveyed even more emotion by having her eyes also express hope. I realize this was not something you came up with on your own as it is a real person, but being able to convey the emotions that come through human eyes is not an easy task, so I applaud your ability to do just that. I love the shading of the hair, with the various tones placed perfectly throughout to create depth within the drawing. Adding the little flyaway hairs also aided in creating realism. The small details of the irises are wonderful and the shading of the mouth is very soft and without hard lines, fantastic. Overall, a very beautiful drawing of Anne Hathaway. I have seen many, and not a lot of people can draw her like you did here, congratulations.

Impact Rating: When I first clicked on this drawing, the expression of her face really made me stop and stare. It's the kind of drawing that you just want to keep looking at it to see what more fantastic details you can find. Her eyes are haunting, and I love that.

Technique: Not really much to say as I already said everything I could about how wonderfully you drew this. I can't see any flaws, your technique was perfect.

Originality: It is a bit lower than the rest only because it still is a celebrity drawing. But understand, I do the same subjects, so I would not expect anything higher for any critique of mine either. Regardless, this is still a fantastic drawing and I absolutely love it.

Vision: Higher than Originality, but still a bit lower than the rest. I really do enjoy how you made it your own and your style shines through the drawing. There is something so innocent within this piece and I think if any other artist were to draw this photo, it wouldn't be there.
