Description

Finally a new work!

It is something a bit different from what I use to do, but I wanted to draw something like that and then I found a beautiful photo and I couldn't help drawing it :D It has a lot of details, which, again, can't be appreciated in the photo (maybe I will upload some close-ups) and it took me ages to finish, hehehe. I loved and hated it at the same time but in the end, I am really proud of it. So I hope you like it!

Sorry, there isn’t too much I can offer in the way of criticism. You have created a beautiful piece. So then just a few quick blurbs about why I rated, vision, originality, technique and impact the way I did.

Vision gets 3 stars. You, yourself admitted the drawing is of a photograph you have long admired. I can’t give you much more than a three, for having the ability to remember a really nice photograph. Judging by the beautiful technique you used, I assume that is an absolutely accurate rendering of the mask. Again, I can’t give you much more than 3 stars, for the beautiful rendering of someone else’s vision.

Originality gets 3 stars too. Again, not because the image is not absolutely stunning, it is. But, because it is pretty hard to demonstrate originality, with that kind of subject matter.

Technique gets 5 stars. Not too much to say here. Just, that you are good. Really, really, good.

Impact gets 3 stars. That’s not a bad thing. Sometimes, when I’ve been around loud noises all day, I welcome a little, contemplative, peace and quiet. You drummed up about as much impact as possible, which isn’t much, out of that beautifully rendered mask, on a plain background.

I call them the way I see them. Keep up the good work.

Life is good.
